Empowering literacy coaches, inspiring student success

A place to come together, support one another, and share resources

The Literacy Coach Network is a collaborative undertaking by the Sandra Dunagan Deal Center for Early Language & Literacy and GaDOE’s Literacy Team to provide Georgia’s literacy coaches a space to explore new topics and collaborate with their coaching colleagues.

For the 2025-26 school year, each session will include content drawn from Florida Center for Reading Research’s (FCRR) Fundamentals of Literacy Coaching modules.

Literacy Coach Network

A PARTNERSHIP WITH GADOE

This project is a two-part continuation of the Literacy Coach Network. Starting in September, we will launch an academic year-long series of monthly virtual learning/networking meetings that are open to all literacy coaches across the state.

Schedule, topics, and resources will be selected collaboratively and attendee feedback will be collected.

We are establishing a 2-year coaching cohort in which up to 100 highly qualified applicants will be selected from across the state to attend in-person quarterly full-day trainings.

The trainings will be conducted across four regions of the state.

Content for both arms of this project will be guided by the ExcelinEd Fundamentals of Literacy Coaching Modules facilitated by Nik Philmon.

A $300 honorarium will be offered for participants that attend all sessions.
