Walter Reynolds
Grants Administrator

Mr. Reynolds is a native and lifelong resident of Milledgeville, and a graduate of Georgia Military College and Georgia College and State University. Walter has held executive management positions in both the public and private sector in various fields including broadcast, digital media, project consulting, real estate, and economic development. He has also served on a number of local, non-profit and community service boards including the Oconee River Greenway Foundation, the Young Professionals of Milledgeville, The Deep Roots Festival Committee, and the Baldwin County School System Foundation.

Mr. Reynolds is also a duly elected member of the Milledgeville City Council, having served as District 4 Councilman since 2013. Walter most recently served as the Interim Executive Director of the Central State Hospital Local Redevelopment Authority. Under his direction, the campus generated over $15,000,000.00 in local economic impact through efforts centered on returning property to the tax rolls, job creation, and projects to generate additional housing stock.

In his free time, Walter enjoys mid-century design and architecture, tinkering with classic Fords, woodworking and traveling.

Mr. Reynolds understands and appreciates the connections between literacy, education and workforce development and is excited to bring his experience to the Deal Center.
